Natasha, After trying to post my own Voice Thread (http://voicethread.com/share/687563/)without any success tonight, it was encouraging to see yours in the blog. It gave me the encouragement to try again and voila it worked!
After listening to your stories, at the MWP Summer Institute, of her camping adventures, to see them in this visual writing was a great combination. It was a bit like reading a book and then seeing the movie. Appreciate both types of your writing for the humor, creativity, strong voice and storyline. Both pieces shared important role she plays in your life. Thanks, Mary
Your voice thread piece about Cassie is a wonderful example of how VoiceThread could be used to motivate student writing. I know how much students (of any age) LOVE to write about their pets. You could easily use this as a model for your students.
(I personally love the last photo of Cassie kissing Rita -- how beautiful -- both of them.)
